About the Role
The Human Resources Officer plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of the School鈥檚 HR function. This position provides high-quality administrative and operational support across recruitment, onboarding, HR compliance, training coordination and payroll processes, including providing administrative support to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations.
Working closely with the Human Resource Manager, the HR Officer ensures HR processes are delivered with accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality. The role also contributes to maintaining strong HR systems and practices that support staff throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and school requirements.
The Human Resources Officer is a full-time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including administration and coordination.
- Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems and employee data.
- Assist with HR compliance, reporting and policy processes.
- Coordinate and monitor staff training and mandatory compliance requirements.
- Deliver general HR administrative support and respond to staff enquiries.
- Support payroll processes and related administration.
- Assist with Blue Card, WorkCover and staff wellbeing initiatives.
About You
Our ideal candidate will bring;
- Experience in an administrative role, ideally with exposure to HR and/or payroll functions.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Confidence working within structured processes, policies and compliance frameworks.
