We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate teacher to join our Senior School in a full-time 12-month contract position, commencing from term 2 2026.
The successful applicant will have the ability to teach Physics or Engineering or a combination of both at a Senior School level. This is an exciting opportunity to work with motivated students and a supportive, forward-thinking staff in a school that values both academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Excellence
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students in years 10–12.
- Design and assess curriculum-aligned tasks in accordance with QCAA and Australian Curriculum standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
- Contribute to the co-curricular and APS sports programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching practice.
Pastoral Care & Student Wellbeing
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students that promote trust and personal growth.
- Take responsibility for students' welfare both in and outside the classroom.
- Support student behaviour through fair consistent strategies.
- Engage with families, pastoral staff and learning support professionals to support each learner holistically.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified educator with a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Physics or Engineering or a combination of both at a senior school level.
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Strong knowledge of QCAA coursework and the Australian Curriculum.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to reflective practice and professional growth.
- A desire to contribute fully to the spiritual, co-curricular, and community life of the School.
